Better care….period. In todays insurance driving health care system, the patient becomes an algorithm where certain labs will not be run or the physician is allocated a certain amount of time. With this impersonal approach the patient feels just like a number. Thus, the rise in health coaching, personal trainers, “fade nutritionists” and anything else where the patients at least feels that he/she is being heard.
We heard our patients from day 1 in the start of our physical practice. “Thank you for listening to me and treating me like you fully care about my health.” over and over we heard this. Isn’t this how it should be? Full attention to the concerns of the patient or client? We have proven that to fully assist and bring positive changes, there needs to be a relationship between the practitioner and the person on the other side of table and now the other side of the computer screen.
